Joseph Michael Venable

Joseph Michael “Mike” Venable was born October 20, 1954 in Youngstown Ohio to Russell and Martha Venable.

After serving in the United States Army he joined Roofers Local 71 until his retirement.

Mike was an accomplished drag racer. He was also a member of the motorcycle club “Brothers of the Hammer”. He was affectionately known as “Vega Mike” and “Glide”.

Mike was one of 10 children.

He leaves to cherish his memory; wife of 38 years, Fern “Sissy” Venable; son, Raymont Ingram (Teaza); grandchildren, London, Quincy, Raymont J.R., Xavier and Nevaeh; Niece Jonise Hartsfield; Nephew Joseph Hartsfield; great nephews, Mark and Kevin; great niece Elise; sisters, Laverne and Hazel; brother, Frank and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father; brothers, Russell Venable Jr., Phillip and Clifford; sisters Gert, Sandra and Gloria.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 23,2024 at 4:00pm at Augustine Funeral Home, 75 E. Midlothian Blvd. Youngstown, OH. 44507 (234) 254-8403.
